    What is Wellness?

    What is Wellness?

It's World Wellbeing Week starting 22 June, but what does being ‘well’ actually mean? You often hear the phrase wellbeing*, but what actually is it? How do you know when you are ‘being well’ enough? How can you measure it? And does it much matter anyway (because we’re all busy these days)? It seems that the true definition, while a little vague, is simply “not having a diagnosed disease”. According to the Collins Dictionary, your wellbeing is your “health and happiness” and t
    Yoghurt Fruit Pot

    Yoghurt Fruit Pot

Having a healthy breakfast really doesn't need to be difficult or time consuming to make - after all, who wants stress in a morning! It's important to include protein with every meal, as it can help keep you fuller for longer and stabilise blood sugar levels. With the inclusion of protein in the form of chia seeds (check out the nutrition bit at the bottom) and nuts, this light breakfast option is perfect for the summer months. Ingredients: (1 person) 80g fresh fruit (raspber

Watermelon, Mint, Feta & Black Olive Salad

This refreshing salad is perfect for summer and it really couldn't be easier to make... Ingredients: 1 large watermelon (cubed) 1 red onion 1 cup of pitta black olives 4 fresh limes (juiced) 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil Pack of good quality feta cheese (cubed) Small bunch of mint/parsley or dill (roughly torn) Freshly ground black pepper Method: Slice the red onion and soak in lime juice for approx. 10 minutes to release the bitterness and let it pickle slightly Gently combi
    Spicy Tomato & Coconut Soup

    Spicy Tomato & Coconut Soup

This is one of my favourite soups, from an old summer food plan - a real bowl of goodness. It's low GL, gluten-free and is full of nutrient bursting foods. It also combines carbs + protein, which helps to keep your blood sugar levels stable. It's also a winner with my teenage daughter due to the inclusion of halloumi. Happy cooking... INGREDIENTS ● 800g cherry tomatoes ● 1 can organic coconut milk ● 180g quinoa ● 2tbsp coconut oil ● 2 onions, finely sliced ● 4tsp curry

From the first consultation to delivery Donna was completely supportive, understanding and a consummate professional. Her understanding of my needs and dietary requirements was fantastic. I’ve lost over 2 stone, and my asthma is now nearly non existent. I wholeheartedly recommend Donna, I can promise you that you won’t regret getting in touch with her.

    Nutrition MOT

Following a period of illness I decided to take my life in hand and decided that my diet needed an overhaul. As a family we have adapted the changes easily into our busy lives and have enjoyed the meals from the menu plan. It has made us look more carefully at the foods we are buying. If you’re reading this, you’re obviously contemplating looking at your diet. I would definitely recommend Donna to help you with this.

I contacted Donna because I had health issues and a poor diet. I'm so pleased I did as she helped me change my diet and I now feel so much better with her support. In fact, I was so impressed that I advised my daughter to see Donna, and she in turn has recommended Donna to her friend. Overall Donna is competent and understanding, easy to talk to and sympathetic to a person's needs. I would give her a 5 Star rating *****
